Teachers Return to Hampton School District
August 1 was an exciting day attheHamptonSchools. All employees returned for a full day of training. Administrators,teachers, and support staffed gathered for their first day of the 2023-24 school year and it was a day full of learning. The day began with the administrators; Elementary Principal Tom Sawyer, High School Principal Bryan Sanders and newly hired Superintendent Matt Scarbrough serving breakfast to the everyone. Joey Blann inherited his farming passion from his father and grandfather, Bill Blann and Herbert Lee Blann. Even with other endeavors, the family’s true love was cattle and horses. The library’s Summer Reading Program continues for one more week! On Friday at 2 pm, we will all be partaking in some kindergartenlevel snacks, crafts, and silliness, and next Wednesday is our communitywide art project. We are so grateful to the parents and grandparents who have sent snacks for the kids and helped out at the programs. Our new Makerspace has had some visitors lately too; we have helped with a festival vendor’s label printer and provided space for artists to work.
