1. Making a right turn is not always the right thing to do. This hauler bottomed out carrying a HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System.) According to the officer at the scene, he was supposed to go straight. The incident was quickly fixed when Blann Tractor came to the rescue.
2. As it would happen, just moments later a line of traffic built not the least being another larger wide load trailer. The wide load, small road and stuck trailer was enough for several onlookers.
3. This asphalt silo was the first to detour, on its way to California. The recent destruction of the brick flower bed (see last week’s paper) served to make this transition through downtown easy. Just when you think there’s nothing for the front page, someone does something to report.
Generations Bank cooks hamburgers and hot dogs for City and County employees. It was a nice midweek gesture to show appreciation for all they do. At top we see Charley Williams, branch manager from Camden, flipping burgers. Also, top right we have a glimpse of Market President Delois Kitchens helping out with the cooking. Below we see Vice President Myra Dunn serving a few of our city and county employees. You can find the bank randomly thanking businesses for serving the community.
