Shirley R. Barnes, 85 of Little Rock, died Thursday, December 9, 2021. She was born February 17, 1936 in DeQuincy, Louisiana to the late Charles Earl Crawford, Sr. and Rose Morrison Crawford. She was also preceded in death by her husband Morgan Ernest Barnes, her sister Rosemary Cormier, and her brother Charles E. Crawford Jr.
Guy Richard Avant 5/19/52 to 12/02/21. Richard was born in Camden, Arkansas and grew up in South Louisiana. He served in the US Army, once discharged he was employed at Monsanto Chemical in the lab for many years. He took early retirement and moved back to Hampton, AR. He cared for his aging mother for years. He was preceded in death by his father Marion Luke Avant, and older brother George Larry Avant. He is survived by his mother Billie Jean Avant, sister Debbie Cartwright, Nieces and Nephews, and many cousins, and friends. He loved dogs, old cars and the country life. He will be so missed.
Betty Sue Randall, 71 of Hampton, AR passed away peacefully on Saturday December 11, 2021 at Silver Oaks Health and Rehab in Camden, AR. She was born on December 12, 1949 in Hampton, Arkansas. The family moved to Houston, Texas in 1954 where Betty grew up and lived most of her adult life. She relocated to Hampton in 2004 where she has resided for the past 17 years. She was well known and loved in Houston as well as Hampton. She truly loved the Lord Jesus Christ and talked to others about His love constantly. She was an inspiration to so many persons in both communities. She had words of wisdom for you at all times.
Rhonda Ann LaBeff, age 64 of Thornton died Thursday, December 2, 2021 at her home. She was born May 26, 1957 in Camden, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her father, James W. LaBeff. Rhonda is survived by one son, Nathan (Melanie) Clemons of Thornton; one daughter, Annah (Chris) Meaux of Friendswood, TX; mother, Vaughnda LaBeff of Thornton; three brothers, Jim LaBeff of Thornton, John LaBeff of Bearden, Joey LaBeff of Bearden; one sister, Beverly Baxley of Thornton; seven grandchildren, Nyla Clemons, Isaac Clemons, Zalena Clemons of Thornton, Friendwood, TX. Ophie Grace Grisham, 88, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock. Ophie was born on Feb 19th 1933 to her mother, Edna Williams and her father, Preston Williams. Ophie graduated from Tinsman High School in 1951 and shortly after began working at US Navel Ammunition Depot in East Camden as a purchasing agent where she worked for almost 20 years. On February 28, 1952, she married James Travis Grisham. Together they had two daughters, Rebecca and Briget, one son, Terry, and grandson, Conner. Ophie was a beautiful, loving Christian, a devoted wife to JT and would do anything for him and their three beloved children.
